I Never CRY On Video but I DID Today!
To be honest I wasn’t going to write this post. Then, when I did write it, I sure as hell wasn’t going to share it with you because it’s a little embarrassing for me plus it doesn’t have anything to do with marketing.
Then I thought wait a minute… I don’t want my site to only be about marketing and selling my stuff. This place is where I live online and it’s my name on the marquee so I’m going to run this thing like it’s my place not a place online.
Also I thought if I’m going to ask you to trust me and I am… you need to feel that you can trust me also! The easiest way I know of to do that is to show you here who I am for real… in ways that I shouldn’t want you to see me for fear you’ll think less of me.
We’re all living in a fucking make believe world, ALL the time, pretending we’re tough when we’re not, acting as if we’re smart when we feel stupid and inadequate so I have to tell you this vulnerability thing is definitely not a cakewalk for me.
What Clinched it for me was Jimmy Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel lost someone who was terribly important to him when Don Rickles died on April 6 at the age of 90. In a tribute to Don, Jimmy broke down on his TV show in front of millions of people as he delivered his talk about his hero.
Watching Kimmel cry got me crying too and at that precise moment my respect and admiration for him went up as well.
April 6 was significant to Jimmy because of Don’s death bit it was equally significant to me and for the same reason. It was on that day one year and two days ago that one of my heroes died as well and for me that gutted feeling is still in me like it happened yesterday and I said to myself… fuck it… I’m doing this, all of it!
Now There’s a Place HERE for My HEROES!
I still miss Merle Haggard as much today as the day he died and it’s something I feel is going to stick with me till I die too.
I’d Like You Now to Meet My HERO… Merle Haggard!
Merle Haggard (RIP) & Willie Nelson live concert 2007
It Took Merle a while to get going… but man he did it right!
Merle and Willie look like Brothers from Different Mothers
I think the Outtakes were as Good as the finished product!
So It’s Just Willie Now… at least For now!
Rest in Peace Merle… I’ll MISS You Till I’m Gone Too!
