What Does the Words “LIFE CHANGING” Mean to You?
Life changing means different things to different people and sometimes gets confused with other powerful emotional events in our lives. For instance, When I was 11 years old, on an ordinary day at public school the unthinkable happened…
On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was fatally shot in Dallas, Texas while riding in a motorcade in Dallas’ Dealey Plaza, at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. Wikipedia
The idea of a US President of the United States being assassinated was devastating to a lot of people, it was unthinkable for everybody, and it was absolutely tragic for the friends and family. However, for me and the people who were important to me that was not a life changing event.
Now the birth of your own child, the death of your own child, or the death of a loved one… those types of events are obviously life changing but it’s also fair to mention less dramatic situations like hearing a motivational speech at precisely the right time that will causes you to want to become a doctor and you follow through on it… that also qualifies as life changing.
I had a life changing thing happened to me as well… not the doctor bit… but when I become aware of and in the company of the man I’m going to introduce to you here my life changed in lovely positive ways that I know and ways I’ve yet to discover and this man has become my friend as well as my mentor and he’s funny as a loud wet fart at a funeral to boot!
