John Lennon was My Favorite of the 4 Beatles
On Monday, December 8, 1980, Lennon was shot by Mark David Chapman in the archway of the Dakota, his residence in New York City. Lennon had just returned from Record Plant Studio with his wife, Yoko Ono. After sustaining four major gunshot wounds, Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at Roosevelt Hospital. It Wasn’t My Tragic News but it Hurt Like it Was
I was working at my computer when that familiar sound of a Facebook notification went off and in the time that it took to look up at the monitor my mouse was set to fire and in an instant my day went from feeling happy to gutted.
A friend, a marketing brother of mine who’d just recently become a brand new dad… but the news was he and his wife lost that daughter and though he lived half a world away from me I wished there was something, anything I could do to help but you know you cannot.
So What’s the Point You May be Asking?
I got a reminder and decided to give one to you since you’re here…
Stop acting like you’re going to live forever… YOU’RE NOT!
Start counting your blessings every day and be grateful for even Small things because it doesn’t matter how shitty you think you’re day’s going it would blow your mind how many people in the hospital or graveyard would switch places with you in a heartbeat!
